02 Jul ALEICIA — Angie’s Models Toronto | Letting the Session Unfold
Aleicia reached out to collaborate on an artistic session, originally envisioning a shoot in a library. The idea itself was beautiful and well thought out, but it didn’t align with how I work. Shooting in that kind of location comes with a lot of moving parts, permissions, timing, transporting equipment, and working around a public space. For a collaborative session, I prefer to keep things simple and focused so the energy stays on the creativity, not the logistics.
I showed her a few concepts that fit more within my style, and she came back with a black and white mood board that immediately clicked. It was minimal, expressive, and open-ended in a way that allowed the shoot to unfold naturally.
We started with simple headshots, letting Aleicia move the way she naturally would. From there, I guided when needed, suggested small shifts, and we built the session together in real time. It became one of those shoots where nothing feels forced, just a quiet rhythm of trying things, noticing what works, and following it.
Aleicia is newer to modeling, but you wouldn’t know it from the way she carries herself. She’s calm, observant, and full of subtle ideas. She’s also represented by Angie’s Models in Toronto and spoke very positively about the support she receives there.
The entire session was quick, around 40 minutes, but incredibly productive. The images came together in a way that felt effortless, the kind of shoot where everything just lands.
More than anything, she was simply a joy to work with. Easy to connect with, grounded, and open, the kind of presence that makes the studio feel light.
After the session, she left this review:
“Absolutely beautiful human being and amazing to work with, effortless direction and created a comfortable work environment. Will definitely recommend and shoot with her again.”
