I want to thank everyone who nominated and voted for me. I truly appreciate all the support and love from the bottom of my heart. I am happy to announce I won Ottawa’s Favourite Fashion Photographer. It’s such an honour.
I had such a blast at the event. I got to hang out with lots of talented people who I only usually see on set. I also got to meet new people that I have been admiring for sometime. The ceremony was rather quick considering how many categories there were. It was such a great night.
Here are some fun behind the scene’s photos from the night. Pretty cool that we all got our photo taken by a super talented photographer, Gord Webber. The first photo was his.
I am also happy to announce that Florence won Ottawa’s Favourite Model, Fatima won Ottawa’s Favourite Makeup artist and Ottawa’s Favourite Wedding Makeup Artist, Mary Elin won Ottawa’s Favourite Promotional Model and Michel Weatherall won Ottawa’s Favourite Author and Publisher. There are so amazing winners this year. Sorry to those I didn’t mention.
Photos above (me, Michel, and Mary Elin) were taken at an event for the Face Award winners to network. It was hosted at a really cool spot, Collab Space. They host weddings, meetings, parties and events. I had a great time networking and having glass of wine and some cheese. My photo of Mary Elin was used as the book cover of Michel’s book. I am still very happy about that achievement.
I suggested to Fatima and Florence that we should get portraits with our awards. They loved the idea. Fatima did all of our makeup and hair. I took both of their portraits and Vince, my boyfriend, took mine.
I think every achievement that you make you should celebrate. There are so many bumps in the road that it’s important to celebrate the good in life and remind yourself of how blessed you are. This blog post for me is a way to show my gratitude for all those who support me and my journey in my photography business. Please know a day doesn’t go by without my appreciating your support.
