19 Mar Maternity Session with Cara
There is something really beautiful about seeing your friend experience motherhood for their first time. Each of my friends has reacted very different to becoming pregnant, but in the end, the overall emotion is always pure happiness. I love capturing the bliss of pregnancies, so I was thrilled when my friend Cara trusted me with photographing her first maternity session. She wanted some outdoor portraits with her partner and some soaking in a milk bath. We did our shoot at the end of December, so our outdoor shoot was fairly quick. We went to a park near the second location and got some cute winter shots.
After warming up and having some food we jumped back into shooting and got Cara soaking in the tub. She bought an assortment of different flowers from the nearby grocery store. They were the perfect addition to a milk bath.
I love how Cara’s pale skin looks so porcelain against the milk water. Milk baths are such a beautiful way to capture the beauty of motherhood!
