The calibre of talent Lisa represents is truly exceptional—every actor I’ve photographed through The Meus Talent Agency brings something unique: professionalism, depth, and genuine artistry. It’s an honour to capture these important portraits that help actors stand out in the industry. A powerful headshot can open doors—it’s often the first impression casting directors see, and it has the potential to spark new opportunities.
My session with Petra was an absolute delight. She’s silly, down-to-earth, and absolutely gorgeous—someone who can light up a room with ease. Before pursuing acting full-time, Petra was a professor at Carleton University, and now in retirement, she’s dedicating her time to her passion for storytelling through acting. Her intelligence, poise, and lived experience make her a natural fit for professional and authoritative roles, though she often surprises with her range, bringing depth even to darker, moodier characters.
Petra reminds me of Annie Leibovitz, one of my greatest creative influences. Both women share an undeniable presence—a combination of confidence, quiet strength, and individuality that draws you in. What I love most about Petra is how she embraces her natural beauty and authenticity. To me, that is the definition of beauty: not about whether someone enhances their features or keeps things natural, but about being comfortable in your own skin and letting your essence shine through.
Working with Petra reminded me why I love photographing actors. When someone brings that level of honesty and openness to the camera, it’s magic. Sessions like these—filled with laughter, connection, and creative flow—are what keep me inspired as a portrait artist.
