21 Jan Actor Headshots with Siblings Lola and Joseph
One of my favourite recent sessions was photographing siblings Lola and Joseph for their updated actor headshots. They are both represented by Lisa from Meus Talent Agency, and it was such a joy working with their family to bring this shoot together.
From the start, their mum Lara was wonderful to coordinate with. We discussed wardrobe and styling in advance, and she absolutely nailed it — from more character-focused looks to the classic, versatile outfits that work beautifully for actor headshots. Everything was well thought out and perfectly suited to showcasing both kids’ personalities and range.
The flow of the session was seamless. While one was changing outfits, the other was in front of the camera, so we were able to move through the shoot smoothly and efficiently. Lola, 10, and Joseph, 14, both brought so much personality and energy to the session. They each had great range in their expressions and felt relaxed and confident throughout. Neither showed any sign of nerves — instead, they seemed to come alive in front of the camera. It’s always exciting to see young actors feel so at home in that environment, even when it’s a still image instead of film.
We also had a great soundtrack playing during the shoot — everything from Taylor Swift to Joseph’s retro playlist spanning multiple decades — which added to the fun, easygoing atmosphere.
Lola and Joseph were both a joy to photograph. Their energy, presence, and natural ease in front of the camera made the shoot such a positive experience from start to finish. I’m excited to see where their acting journeys take them next.
