31 Oct Halloween Robot Photoshoot with Nina – When the Vibes Were Vibing
Halloween is always a great excuse to get creative, and this year’s shoot with my friend and talented hairstylist, Nina from Laash Lashes & Hair Co., was no exception. Nina is the only person I trust with my hair—she always makes me feel amazing with a fresh cut and colour. She’s not just skilled; she has a real artist’s eye and a fun, fearless personality that shines through everything she does.
For this Halloween, Nina wanted to step outside the salon and in front of the camera with a creative robot concept. We’ve worked together before on themed shoots, including a witch look with Fatima, who also did the makeup for this one. Fatima has been with me since the very beginning of my photography journey. She continues to impress me every single time, constantly evolving, learning new techniques, and bringing her incredible artistry to every look.
Even though photography is my job, shoots like this remind me why I love what I do. We pulled out the fog machine, added blue gels for a cinematic feel, and let creativity lead the way. Nina was an absolute natural on set—completely embodying her robot character while having the best time. I couldn’t stop laughing; she nailed every movement and expression perfectly.
The whole experience was such a joy: relaxed, imaginative, and full of collaboration. When you’re surrounded by talented, open-minded creatives who trust the process, the energy becomes electric. The vibes were definitely vibing.
