As a photographer, I’m always inspired by the work of other artists, and Shawn Moreton is someone whose portraiture I’ve admired for a long time. So, having the opportunity to not only meet him but also photograph him was an exciting and rewarding experience.

Shawn came prepared with the perfect wardrobe to complement the mood of the shoot—cozy woolen sweaters that added warmth and texture to the portraits. I played with hard lighting, creating deep shadows and bright highlights to bring out the depth and character in each shot. His expressive features, from striking forehead lines reminiscent of a GQ cover to his impressive beard that added rich texture, made for some truly captivating images.

Beyond his talent behind the camera, Shawn was an incredible subject to photograph. I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture an artist I respect, and I look forward to sharing these portraits. Big thanks to Shawn for stepping in front of the lens!
