13 Jan If life gives you curves, flaunt it
I love doing creative shoots to make life more fun and a positive. I teamed up with my good friend, Noahh, a local makeup artist and a new model, Mckenzie. Turns out Mckenzie is a super cool chick and we were able to capture some beautiful photos in my studio. Let me first share the look that Noahh created.
Red lips for Valentine’s Day! Do you really need a reason to wear red lipstick? I also threw in some peacock feathers into the mix. You only live once. We switched the background to black. Black backdrops are challenging with a one light setup, especially when the model has dark hair, but that didn’t stop us.
This was Mckenzie’s first shoot and she rocked it! It takes some guts to do a boudoir shoot. For lighting, I used a large octobox to the left of the model. I had McKenzie standing/sitting fairly close to it so the light would wash over her beautifully. Photography is all about lighting and the more you play with it the more you learn.
