Beauty shoot with Michaela

Beauty shoot with Michaela

Carolyn organized this shoot to promote her business. She was in need for updating her main image on her business banner and wanted something more recent and fresh. I was happy to be the photographer to help her brand grow. We decided on doing two looks for this shoot. She chose the first look she wanted for her banned and I chose a second look that I have been dying to do. Carolyn chose the beautiful model and actress, Michaella. She is absolutely gorgeous and so friendly. It was wonderful working with her on this project.

This was Carolyn’s look. Carolyn makes beautiful flower crowns and it has become her signature look. To compliment the flower crown, the makeup and Michaella’s dark hair and complexion I chose a purple backdrop. It’s darker then her flower crown so the flower crown didn’t have to compete to stand out. I love everything about these photos. Carolyn is very talented at coming up with looks.

Michaella is super cute. She is incredible at delivering natural emotions. She is very bubbly so some of these are just Michaella being Michaella. Neither the less she is amazing in front of the camera as you will see when viewing my look.

This is the look I wanted to do. I love doing vintage shoots with rollers and saw a photo somewhere on social media with flowers in the rollers. I thought that was incredibly creative so I borrowed that idea. I wanted vibrant colours and wanted Michaella to stand out. Carolyn had some beautiful orange flowers which I absolutely loved and I paired it with a light blue background. It just worked!

I had a lot of fun with this shoot. I saw able to show Michaella expressions and she was able to copy it perfectly. That is a skill! You can tell she is an actress. I hope you enjoyed our fun promo shoot.
