21 Feb Kim – Boudoir Session
I am very excited to share this boudoir session. I had such a great time getting together with these ladies and collaborating. Here’s the photo inspiration that I found online that motivated the look and the whole shoot.
I loved the colours, the softness of the photo, the hair, the makeup, and basically the general mood. I don’t know who took this photo otherwise I would credit them. Whoever they are, I am grateful that they took this beautiful photo and shared it.
Kim, the beautiful model we used for this photo, is similar in features as this model. I have never seen Kim do a shoot with her hair pinned up so I called on the pros. Emma Ward is an incredible hair stylist in Ottawa. I hadn’t met her before this shoot but she is really incredible. I was so happy when she said yes to join our team. She is super nice and bubbly and knew exactly how to style Kim’s hair to make it look fabulous. Here’s the shot I took to showcase her beautiful work. How crazy beautiful is that?!
I quickly called my incredibly talented friend and uber talented makeup artist, Noahh. She is always delivering beautiful looks and always knows how to make the model look their absolute best. I love working with her on our creative adventures. Here’s the makeup look that she created. Sooo pretty!
Clothing was both supplied by me and by Kim. The purple house coat and the pink night gown underneath were both bought from Value Village. I love value village. Like really love it. I could live there if they let me. So much nice stuff! Anyways, the jewelry was supplied by Ruth Cameron. I am lucky to not only have met my the love of my life but his mom is incredible. Ruth is my boyfriend mom. She is one of the most creative and giving people I have met. She has been beyond supportive in my photography adventures and has helped stylize many of my shoots this year. She is also teaching me how to stage backgrounds and how to sew.
Kim is my muse. I have taken her photo more than any other model. She is always down to try new things or just to get together. She is an awesome model and is so patient. Thats why I really wanted to do something different for her modelling portfolio. She is a very beautiful person (inside and out).
So we did the initial look I wanted to recreate and then did some photos of Kim in the outfits she brought. Here’s the photo I love from the look I wanted to create. I love this one and the makeup shot!
Kim worked with another local photographer recently and at that session she fell in love with a white dress the photographer had. She loved it so much that she joked about stealing it. But the photographer pretty much told her to take it. Here are a few photos of Kim in her new fav dress.
And then she got dolled up in red lingerie for Valentine’s day. This shoot happened before Valentine’s day for the record.
Isn’t she beautiful! You will be seeing lots of Kim’s work on here. I can promise that.
And thats a wrap!
